Diamond Rhinestone Ribbon DIY: Floral Fun

Here is a simple way to dress up your florals using diamond rhinestone ribbon by Koyal Wholesale. The ribbon comes in 11 colors, so you can find one to match your event’s color scheme.

You will need: Long stem flowers, short stem flowers, diamond rhinestone ribbon, scissors, double stick tape and a short rectangular vase.

  1. Cut small strips of diamond rhinestone ribbon, approximately 6 rhinestones in width and 3-4″ in length, depending on how many stems you wish to wrap together.
  2. Take long-stem flowers, such as calla lilies or even long stem roses, gather the stems and wrap the rhinestone ribbon around them, securing with a piece of double stick tape. Do this in several locations through out the stem.
  3. Lay the long stem flowers across the top of the rectangular vase.
  4. Place the short stem flowers along the sides of the vase, in the empty space, filling up the space. For more secure florals, use floral foam.

Unique Wedding Cake Toppers: From Drab to Fab!

Wedding cakes are a very sweet tradition. They started out as multi-tier desserts in a variety of shapes and colors. Originally, wedding cakes were multi-colored because only the affluent families could afford white ingredients; thus white wedding cakes were not common among every day wedding receptions. Well, thankfully today there are many different sizes, flavors and even ingredients, available for bride and grooms to choose from. Cake tasting has become one of the best parts of planning a wedding; all the flavors and frosting combinations to choose from make staying on your pre-wedding diet nearly impossible! Well, along with flavor and frosting options there are many design and style choices. A time honored tradition is the cake topper. There are traditional cake toppers such as initials, and there are humorous cake toppers. You can decorate a cake with practically anything, edible or inedible! Flowers, crowns, bling and ribbon are all great ways to decorate a white wedding cake.

Bend Tradition With A Friday the 13th Wedding

Planning a wedding starts with picking a wedding date; a task that can be very complicated if you’re particular about numbers and meanings. As it happens, Friday the 13th is this Friday. While it is a popular day for superstitions and folklore, as a wedding date the verdict is still out! Decorating a fabulous modern venue with black décor would make a great glamorous Friday the 13th wedding. Incorporate dark red accents for a gothic wedding accent that would really accent the superstition. Most who believe in Friday the 13th believe that it is an unlucky day. However, some people believe that the significance of the number can be interpreted as a lucky number instead, mostly due to the fact it only falls a few times a year. This year, we will have three Friday the 13ths in 2012. Since most people wouldn’t dare plan a wedding on an unlucky superstitious day, most wedding venues probably have the date open. If you like Halloween or gothic themes this would be the perfect day to plan a dark gothic black theme wedding.
