You’ve found the dress. You’ve coordinated the chair bows and the runner. You’ve hired a charming officiant. But there are a few more details to embrace in order to design the perfect walk down the aisle!* We are coining the term aisle style to describe these couture ideas that will transform your aisle into a stunning stroll with your soon-to-be-spouse.
Yanni Elyash and the team of Yanni Design Studio in Illinois are the masters of aisle style. For more than 10 years, they have designed truly couture events, with a special focus on the wedding aisle, as seen in the photos below.
Brides and planners can use these simple aisle style tips for indoor or outdoor ceremonies: - Line the aisle using vases & candle holders. Worried about an open flame? Use battery operated votive candles or floralytes to achieve a beautiful glow without the flame.
- Run hanging crystals, ivy, floral poms, or floral garlands between the entrances of the pews so that guests will enter the pews from the outside, reserving the main aisle for the bridal party
- Use uplighting units, such as wireless spotlights, to bring attention to the main elements of your aisle style
- Use manzanita branches, pillars, light up crystal trees, tall vases, fantasyland trees or clear stands adorned with crystal curtains to add height to your aisle style
- Fill tall vases with water, submerge flowers, and add submersible floralytes to achieve a stunning glow, perfect for an indoor or evening ceremony
- Don’t forget the rose petals! Buy silk rose petals in bulk and be generous in spreading them throughout your aisle style.
- For a truly couture look, use free-standng shepard’s hooks with multi-diamond cut chandeliers to line the aisle (see photo below)
- Fill a half mint julep cup (a mint julep cup with one flat side) with beautiful flowers and use a ribbon to tie the cup to the pew
*Koyal Trivia: The bride actually walks up the nave (from Latin navis ‘ship’) of a church, not one of the aisles (one of the two parts parallel to the nave).

Bling meets bouquet! Stunning bouquet jewelry, also known as wedding floral pins, is the newest trend in couture Hollywood and celebrity weddings. Florists and brides love diamond rhinestone jewel picks for the bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets and corsages. Depending on the size of the bouquet, we recommend approximately 8 to 12 jewels picks or 8 to 12 diamond rhinestones per arrangement. Bouquet jewelry provides endless couture design choices for events such as weddings, baby showers, bat mitzvahs and more. Bouquet jewels, which slip easily into floral arrangements, add incredible sparkle to your table centerpieces. To maximize bling, add candles and floralytes to your tablescape to ensure that light reflects off your your crystal picks. Look out for the newest in wedding bouquet jewelry, including emperor pins, duke pins, regency pins, crown pearls, and majesty jewels. Sparkling crystal solitaire bouquet pins and elegant pearl bouquet jewelry add a sophisticated finishing touch to tablescapes and event decor making them the perfect addition to your night time reception!
The central tenet of Dr. Atul Gawande’s provocative new book, The Checklist Manifesto, is that the simplest of tools – the checklist – provides the solution to life’s complexities. The surgeon/New Yorker staff writer cites several thrilling medical cases where patients were saved because, quite simply, medical staff scrupulously followed checklists, thereby avoiding errors, reducing infections, and ultimately saving millions of dollars.
Those of us in the wedding industry know all too well the invaluable nature of the checklist. The wedding planner’s checklist. The DJ’s checklist. The caterer’s checklist. When followed, the well-crafted checklist results in a happy couple, a happy bridal party, a happy family, a happy gaggle of guests. But when rejected, tears, arguments, bridezillas and even lawsuits abound.
In the DIY era, brides (or grooms) are well-advised to compile and follow their own checklists. Our simple checklists are perfect for any bride – from budget to bling. In this first part in the Checklist Series, we focus on the Wedding Ceremony Supplies Checklist.*
* As my high school teacher once said, opinions are like noses: Everyone’s got one, and yours is of no use to me. Use this checklist as a simple guide – our opinion, through decades of experience, of supplies to have on hand. As always, all you need is love; all else is optional. (But remembering the rings may also be a good idea.)
An increasing number of brides and consumers are following the DIY trend for virtually every aspect of their weddings or special events. Cakes are no exception. For many brides, the traditional 3 or 4-tiered wedding cake has given way to stunning wedding cupcake cakes. Brides use tiered cupcake stands to display beautifully decorated cupcakes. Cupcakes are tres economical: They cost much less to bake than the traditional wedding cake, can be elaborately adorned with frosting and cost-effective flourishes, and allow the bride to by-pass a venue’s cake-cutting and serving fee. Find the largest selection of wholesale cupcake wrappers and bulk cupcake wrappers for cheap, discount, sale prices at Koyal Wholesale.
Wrinkled cupcake liners are a thing of the past now that couture cupcake wrappers have hit the scene! These designer, textile-inspired wrappers fit easily around the outside of the liner, providing an elegant finish. Cupcake wrappers now come in a multitude of colors and designs, so they too can match the color and design palette of your event. A lasercut filigree cupcake wrapper is a perfect touch for a couture wedding reception. A cupcake placed in a designer cupcake wrapper can be set at each place setting as a party favor for your guests. And you can even create beautiful birthday cupcake cakes using your favorite flavor of cupcake – chocolate cupcakes, red velvet cupcakes and more. Any way you slice it, these designer cupcake wrappers provide a sophisticated elegance to any special event.
Weddings, Bridal Showers, Baby Showers, Mother’s Day, Charity Events, Bat Mitzvahs, Birthdays, Graduation Parties, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Corporate Events and Cocktail Parties. What do these events all have in common? They are just a few examples of places where a dessert table would add the perfect finishing touch. Dessert tables, also known as candy bars, dessert bars, or candy buffets, are one of the top ten wedding ideas of 2010. This article will help you create your very own memorable, signature dessert table.
Koyal Wholesale’s Top 10 Tips to Create A Stunning Dessert Table
1. Choose your colors. Your dessert table should complement the color palette you have chosen for your event. Examples include bright citrus hues, pastels, or color combinations such as yellow and black. All items included on the dessert table should fall within your color palette.
2. Choose your theme. After choosing your color palette, choose a matching design theme for your dessert table. The theme may be inspired by the event invitations. Examples include damask, a Moroccan theme, cherry-blossoms, or something whimsical for a child’s birthday dessert table such as a rocket-ship theme. Coordinate the items on your dessert table with your theme, incorporating the theme into your cookies, your cake design, your background and so on.
3. Design a background. Most dessert tables look best when placed against a background that matches your theme. Backgrounds can be created using painted canvas, wallpaper, draped fabric and other resources. See photos below for examples.
4. Design the table. Determine the layout for your dessert table. Will a cake be the centerpiece of your table? Or a cupcake stand? Will you use favor trees to create the boundaries of your dessert table? Will your table have symmetrical items? Will it be double sided? What color table cover? Will you include a table runner? Will you introduce flowers and other non-edible items? Create a mock-up of your dessert table.
6. Get creative with dessert! Some great dessert ideas include cupcakes with couture cupcake wrappers, truffles, personalized chocolate bars, cookie garlands, whoopie pies, pillow mints, malted milk balls, sweet tarts, rock candy, taffy, barber poles, jordan almonds, macarons, cotton candy cone sticks, popcorn boxes, panacotta, centerpiece cakes, jelly beans, licorice mints, fondant covered petit fours, macaroons and gelato. You can also include customized drinks!
7. Add labels. Use coordinated stationary, chalkboard signs, handwritten signs, calligraphy and ribbonto create beautiful signs to describe desserts. See photos for details.
8. Create a favor board. Decorate a peg board or other sturdy board as the backdrop of your table. Hang favor bags filled with candy that guests can take as they leave. See photos for details.
9. Get interactive. Introduce interactive dessert stations on your table and involve the guests in the fun! Traditional examples include allowing guests to fill cello bags, italian square favor boxes, or clear chinese take out boxes with candy or a chocolate fountain. You can also get creative by allowing guests to scoop gelato (ice cream) between two macarons (cookies), for example.
10. Release your inner architect. Let your creativity run wild to create a truly stunning dessert table. Design a lollipop tree (see above) or a cookie garland to hang above the table. Stack macarons in a pyramid shape or find uniquely shaped vases to display desserts and flowers. Above all, have fun!

Spring is here! March, April and May will be filled with bridal showers, engagement parties, Mother’s Day celebrations, graduation gatherings, baby showers and more. And what’s the perfect decor addition to any spring party? Asian lanterns! Round paper lanterns are a great way to add color and dimension to your occasion. Paper lanterns are an economical decor and design idea, as they naturally take up space, allowing you to fill your design canvas quickly and easily. Hang the lanterns with ribbon, and tie them between branches for a garden party, allowing the lanterns to sway gently in the wind. Or suspend Japanese lanterns in multiple sizes of the same color above a tablescape, coordinating the lantern color with the color of your satin table runner, organza chair bows, and cutlery. Any way you use them, lanterns will create a beautiful ambiance.
Having a tent wedding? Spice up the blank canvas above with eyelet lanterns or criss-cross lanterns, great for a green or eco-friendly events. For bright, bold color, try nylon lanterns in at least 2 different sizes, clustering them lengthwise through the middle of the tent. To create a truly couture look, light your lanterns using floralytes or lantern light kits. The soft light of these luminaries also creates a romantic mood, perfect for your bridal shower or wedding. And paper lanterns are reuseable! Simply remove your paper lantern, collapse it down, and preserve for future use. Send your lantern photos to info@koyal.com.
