The younger brother of Princess Diana, Charles Edward Maurice Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, is engaged to be married to Canadian philanthropist, Karen Gordon. This will be the third marriage for Spencer, who was previously married to Catherine Victoria Lockwood and later, Caroline Freud. The couple announced their engagement on February 15, 2011. Gordon is the founder and chief executive of Whole Child International, a Los Angeles-based charity which works to improve the lot of orphaned, abandoned, or abused children. Gordon has been honored at the Clinton Global Initiative, among other accolades.
For their June 18, 2011 wedding, Spencer and Gordon can feature several Fairy tale themed wedding supplies, which will complement the regal atmosphere of the wedding location in Althrop, England, where Spencer resides. Guests can enjoy white frame heart shaped wedding coach place cards and the couple’s wedding ceremony can feature an enchanting Castle Wedding set, including champagne glasses, a guest book, wedding pen set and more.
Spencer delivered a stirring eulogy following the shocking death of Princess Diana on August 31, 1997, in which he rebuked both the press and the royal family.
