Here are a few ideas to help you incorporate the season’s bloom into your next celebration – whether wedding, bridal or baby shower, or birthday party!

Happy Friday everyone! After a long week, we’re ready to hit the beach this weekend…which got us naturally thinking about all the beach weddings coming up this summer. If sandy, sunny nuptials sound like a tropical dream, we’ve put together a few must-haves that let you celebrate in style!
Let’s tackle centerpieces first. Beach weddings can range from chic and casual to refined elegance. Whatever your style, use your natural surroundings as your decor manual. Simple touches like natural sugar starfish (also work great for invitations and place card holders), tabletop tiki torches, or even natural driftwood branches used as table decorations play up on the beachy vibe. Charger plates add a pop of color and texture to your table scape in pretty beach colors such as aqua blue charger plates, ocean blue charger plates. Or embrace beach chic style with rattan chargers in brick brown, honey brown, or sand brown.
With a carefree and relaxed vibe, beach weddings often leave guests with a feeling of not wanting to return home to the “real world” right away. Therefore, give your guests mementos that will remind them of their seaside vacation. Today, we continue our look at favorite must-haves for your next summer bash. With summer just around the corner these days, it’s never too early to start planning. Our picks below are versatile and vibrant – perfect for those hot summer days and cool summer nights – but also easily adaptable to any celebration year-round. BBQs, beach weddings, and graduation parties…the season is about to begin!
1. Fans – A variety of colors and textures such as sandalwood, raffia fans, or folding paper fans are a perfect complement to a sunny outdoor wedding or garden party. We love that they can also double as take-home favors too!

Set the mood with lighting Next decide on ambience – are you setting a busy buffet table bustling with guests and merriment? Then go for large candelabras that can hold five or more taper candles for a “wow” lighting effect. Summer is the most popular season for weddings, did you know that? Planning a Fourth of July wedding is a great way to invite all your friends and family together to share in your big day. Root beer floats, July 4th parade and festive sparklers are only some of our favorite ways to spend the day. Now you can add tying the knot to the list! Incorporate a red, white and blue wedding color palette into your décor for a patriotic celebration. Combine any of these colorful wedding ideas to create your own combination of red, white and blue décor!
Dinner Is Served If you’re setting the table with red, white and blue start with red table linens. The red will be an accent color for white decorations. Use a white overlay with blue centerpiece vases to create a patriotic table theme. For an outdoor wedding, alternate between red, white and blue tissue paper pom poms with white paper string lanterns. You’ll have a festive summer wedding lit up by paper lanterns and outdoor lighting. Your centerpiece should be bold and fun. If you want floral centerpiece arrangements, plant galvanized pails with white hydrangeas and stick a few Miniature American flags and pinwheels into the soil. Pinwheels are the staple of any summer picnic, plus kids love playing with them. Raise Your Glass Instead of a full-service bar, host a beverage bar to let guests make their own spritzers. Some drink ideas might include mocktails, root beer floats and cherry sodas. All you need are flavored syrups, soda and a few bowls of cherries, strawberries and blueberries. Cinco de Mayo is only a few days away! Cinco de Mayo is celebrated in the United States and certain regions of Mexico. Although, the holiday is a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride most of the special events and Cinco de Mayo parties are held in the United States. Contrary to popular belief the holiday is not Mexico’s Independence Day but rather a day to honor the end of the Battle of Puebla in Mexico. The United States declared it an official holiday to observe in 2005. Its most often honored with cultural decorations and traditional Mexican symbols. We love the idea of putting together a Cinco de Mayo party with bright festive colors and fun Mexican traditions.
We’re very excited about Cinco de Mayo this year because we just stocked up on our favorite Mexican decorations: Papel Picados! These brightly colored Mexican banners are popping up at Mexican-inspired weddings and destination wedding receptions. We’re excited to hang these colorful paper decorations at our Cinco de Mayo party this weekend. Some live Mariachi music and traditional Mexican food will set the tone for a festive Cinco de Mayo party. Looking for ideas for your Cinco de Mayo party? Bright colored metal lanterns and vintage Mexican soda bottles make great centerpieces. You might have to drink a couple bottles of Mexican soda but with a few single blooms you’ll have a DIY centerpiece that’s easy and affordable. Miniature piñatas can also be used for centerpieces and double as party favors for kids to take home afterwards. For a color theme, stick with similar colors to our Mexican banners. The traditional colors are bright yellow, orange, red, blue and green. Primary colors are easy to decorate with candles, lanterns and plastic table ware.
